Lazy should not be a bad word! The Lazy Zine aims to encourage rest and challenge the stigmatisation of the word lazy.
I’ve created this zine because we live in a world that prioritises work, hustle culture and productivity over rest, relaxation and recreation.
This zine is here to encourage some quiet time-out and self care, with illustrations, thoughts and puzzles to distract and delight. There are ideas on how to stay cosy this winter, book recommendations, an article about managing your energy battery, facts about hibernation and original illustrations and puzzles created by me, Josie.
The theme for this very first winter issue of the Lazy Zine is Hibernation. It’s important especially through the winter months, or those winter periods of our lives, to take time to look after ourselves and prioritise our comfort and wellbeing. Animals and plants slow down in winter, so why shouldn’t we?
Also included is a pack of stickers, as pictured, on the theme of lazy and hibernation. The front cover of the zine is an original linocut print by myself, which is available to buy as an original print or a digital recreation print in my shop.
